Allan Findlay began his career as an IT instructor in 1997, when he joined New Horizons. The primary focus of Allan’s pool of courses has been Microsoft products. With a core concentration in Server technology, Allan has successfully delivered six generations of these courses. Allan also specialized in Exchange Server for many years and now primarily focuses on Lync Server. Additionally, Allan has spent many years delivering Active Directory content and is a lead instructor in Implementation and Configuration. In May of 2008, New Horizons began a transition into virtual delivery. Allan was in the first group of instructors to deliver virtual content and was a key influencer in both the design and implementation phase of the project. Over the years, Allan has perfected a delivery style that fits not only the students physically seated in the classroom, but also has made the challenging transition to a competent and successful virtual instructor. Allan’s knowledge base and course offerings have, at times, extended past the Microsoft technologies. He has delivered several generations of CompTIA content, and he was one of our first instructors to deliver the ITIL Practitioner content. Allan is frequently requested to deliver customized training for high-profile clients. Over the years, Allan has delivered multiple projects for Trinity Health, HP and Bank of America, to name a few.
