"Aim for value...provide the students more than they paid for, and keep the student’s best interests in mind. Aim to transfer immediately usable, practical, hands-on skills. Enjoy the journey along the way."

George brings over 24 years of tenure with New Horizons, over 30 years in the IT industry and a ton of enthusiasm to his role as senior technical trainer. Among the strengths his students would say George possesses would be his thorough product knowledge, engaging training style, enthusiasm, focus on the practical application of knowledge, and the vast amount of extra resources he provides, including his website. His career experience includes starting with the original Macintosh operating system and DOS 3.1, and the primary applications running on those operating systems. Within a few years of starting in IT sales, George took an opportunity at a small training company and shortly thereafter at New Horizons. Since that time he has learned, mastered and taught a huge variety of course titles, including client and network operating systems, many graphics applications, and various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. In more recent years, George focuses almost exclusively on Microsoft SQL Server technologies and Power BI. George’s exuberance for technology goes far beyond the classroom. He was asked by Microsoft to deliver at the Virtual Academy in October 2013. He is a co-founder and regularly participates in the Lansing GLASS SQL Server user group. Additionally, he has been a speaker, volunteer and attendee at multiple SQL Saturday events.
