Warren Bonner nurtured his interest in IT with a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology. After graduation, he got his first foothold in the industry as a central office engineer in the Bell System (what is now AT&T), engineering the installation and management of voice networks. He subsequently spent a number of years at International Business Machines (IBM), where he supported mainframes, servers, routers, personal computers and virtually everything in between. Along the way, he earned his stripes in virtualization, hardware and software support, disaster recovery planning, network systems engineering, marketing support and project management. He was a multi-year recipient of the Systems Engineer Symposium Award, international recognition for excellence in network systems engineering. Throughout his career, Warren interwove his love of technology with a passion for imparting knowledge to others. He always tried to insure that each and every complex customer engagement had a training aspect built into the project. Warren ultimately brought his passion for training, his ability to deconstruct complex topics into smaller, easier-to-understand bits, to New Horizons. During his outstanding tenure, he has been recognized as Instructor of the Month and Instructor of the Year. As a member of a training team that is highly respected in the industry, Warren’s talents have been leveraged across the spectrum: from Netware to Lotus Notes, from Windows Client/Server to Forefront Security, from Hyper-V to Linux.
